MVP Members have access to great prescription drug benefits. But each plan is a little different.
Below, you’ll find lots of helpful resources about your prescription benefits. While not all resources are available for all plans, you’ll find Formularies (lists of covered drugs for your plan), tools to check drug costs and find pharmacies, and more.
How to Find Your Prescription Benefits

Mail-Order Pharmacy
If your benefit allows, you can mail-order maintenance medications that you take on a regular basis. Save time and money when you buy these drugs in larger quantities and have them delivered right to your door. Your co-pay for a 90-day supply of medication may even be less than going to a local pharmacy monthly for the same amount of medication.
To use mail-order pharmacy:
- Check the Formulary to see if your drug can be filled by mail order.
- Ask your doctor for a prescription for a 90-day supply of your medication.
- When filling a prescription via mail order for the first time, you must call CVS Caremark Customer Care at the phone number on the back of your MVP Member ID card to give permission to set up mail services for this drug. View a guide to your Member ID card
MVP Formularies
The list of drugs covered by your plan, called the Formulary, could change throughout the year. For select Commercial and Marketplace members (including Child Health Plus and Essential Plan members), changes made to remove drugs from the Formulary or to add new clinical requirements will take effect on your Pharmacy “Plan Year” start date. To find you Pharmacy Plan Year start date, sign into Gia or create an account, then select My Plan, then My Benefits.

2024 Formularies
- 2024 MVP Commercial/Child Health Plus Formulary (PDF) — Applies to large groups; plans offered by employers with greater than 100 employees, and MVP Child Health Plus.
- 2024 MVP Marketplace Formulary (PDF) — Applies to individuals who purchase their health plan on their own from NY State of Health, The Official Health Plan Marketplace—including the Essential Plan—or Vermont Health Connect or who purchase the plan directly from MVP. Also applies to small group employers with 100 employees or less, and to students enrolled in a student health plan through their college or university.
- 2024 MVP Self-Funded Formulary (PDF) — Applies to Administrative Services Only plans.
- 2024 MVP Medicare Part D Plan Formulary (PDF) — Applies to individual members enrolled in a MVP Medicare Advantage plan not tied to a former employer or union, and members enrolled in a MVP DualAccess plan.
- 2024 MVP DualAccess (HMO D-SNP) Medicare Part D Comprehensive Formulary (PDF) — Applies to individuals enrolled in a MVP DualAccess (HMO D-SNP) plan.
- 2024 UVM Health Advantage Part D Plan Formulary (PDF) — Applies to individuals enrolled in a UVM Health Advantage plan.
- 2024 MVP Medicare Part D Employer-Based Plan Formulary (PDF) — Applies to individuals whose Medicare plan coverage is offered through a former employer or union group.
